Tattoo shop software that actually fits how you work

Most tattoo shop software is a salon app in disguise or a bloated studio suite. Tatvaro is one link that takes bookings, collects deposits, and captures signed waivers — built for tattooers.

What is tattoo shop software?

Tattoo shop software is the system that runs the business side of tattooing — taking appointment requests, collecting deposits, storing signed consent waivers, and keeping a searchable record of every client. The problem is that most of the "tattoo shop software" you'll find is really generic salon booking software with a tattoo label slapped on, or an enterprise studio suite priced for med spas.

Tatvaro is different. It was built from the first screen for the way a tattoo artist actually books: a client sees your work, sends a real brief with reference photos, drops a deposit to hold the slot, and signs their waiver before they ever sit in the chair — all from one link you paste in your Instagram bio.

Everything in one place

One tool instead of four apps

Booking app, payment app, paper waivers, and a client rolodex — Tatvaro replaces all of them with a single link and a phone dashboard.

🔗

One booking link

Drop it in your bio. Clients send a full request — design, placement, size, budget, references — instead of 40 DMs. Approve or decline in a tap.

💳

Deposits before you reply

Require a deposit to lock a request, paid to your own Stripe. Tire-kickers filter themselves out and no-shows drop.

📝

Digital waivers

18+ verification, medical questions, drawn signature, optional ID photo — saved as a clean PDF, no clipboard at the chair.

🗂️

Client library

Every waiver and past booking searchable by name. Pull any PDF the moment you need it.

Why generic booking software fails tattoo shops

Salon software assumes a fixed menu of services with fixed durations — a haircut is 45 minutes, a fill is an hour. Tattoos do not work that way. A session can be a two-hour flash piece or a six-hour back sitting, and the intake needs placement, sizing, and reference images before you can even quote it. Generic tools have nowhere to put that, so artists end up doing the real intake in DMs anyway and the software becomes a glorified calendar.

The waiver gap is worse. Tattooing needs a signed, age-verified consent form on file for every client, every time. Salon apps have no concept of it, so shops fall back on paper clipboards or a separate waiver app — one more login, one more thing to lose. Tatvaro folds the waiver into the same flow as the booking, so by the time a client walks in, the consent PDF is already in your library.

What to look for in tattoo shop software

Look for four things: a real tattoo intake (not a salon service menu), deposits that route to your own payment account, built-in age-verified waivers that save as PDFs, and pricing that does not punish you per artist. Tatvaro was built around exactly those four, and starts free so you can prove it on your next booking before you pay anything.

FAQ

Tattoo shop software questions

Is Tatvaro tattoo shop software for one artist or a whole studio?

Both work. Tatvaro is tuned for the independent artist running their own book, and multiple artists at a shop can each run their own link and dashboard. There are no per-seat fees.

Do my clients need to download an app?

No. Clients tap your link and book, pay, and sign from their phone browser. Nothing to install. An optional iOS app for artists is coming in Q4.

How much does tattoo shop software cost?

Tatvaro starts free forever (waivers plus a booking link). Pro is $79/month for full intake and deposit collection — right in line with the $79–99/month most tools charge, but with a genuinely free plan to start.

Where do the deposits go?

Straight to your own connected Stripe account. Tatvaro never holds your money; you just connect Stripe once and deposits land with you.

Can I move over from my current tattoo software?

Yes. Most artists set Tatvaro up in a couple of minutes — create your link, connect Stripe, and start sending it. No migration project required.
